In 2023, I aimed to improve my hand lettering, illustration, and typography skills, with a goal of developing a custom typeface. During the Ibotta Summer Games project, I found an opportunity to create a unique typeface inspired by images that matched the project's visual direction.

Process
To create the typeface, I took the following steps:
- Mapped the bevel structure of the letters using Adobe Photoshop.
- Hand-drew each letterform in Adobe Illustrator, refining the shapes as I went.
- Designed custom gradients to enhance the beveled, shiny effect.
- Expanded the character set beyond the original project, developing a complete and alternate alphabet with strokes and drop shadows.

Results
- The typeface was first used for the Ibotta Summer Games branding, and the alternate was developed for the Daily Deals email header. Its bold, dimensional design visually improved both the Event and the Email content.
